Those with the Following Momentum pattern have extremely strong adaptability and flexibility, skilled at observing situations and going with the flow. They are not bound by personal will, able to respond flexibly to various changes, suited to diplomacy, public relations, consulting, trade, politics, and other industries requiring high adaptability. They are圆滑世故 (yuanhua shigu), skilled at observing facial expressions and tones. In relationships, they are skilled at befriending all kinds of people, though easily influenced by others due to lacking主见 (zhujian).
Formation conditions: 1. The Day Master has no roots and no vital energy; 2. In the chart, one of the Five Elements is uniquely strong and forms a dominant momentum; 3. The overall chart momentum is unified, without elements that break the pattern; 4. No Seal Star or Sibling/Rob Wealth to support the Day Master. Destruction conditions: 1. Appearance of Sibling/Rob Wealth assisting the body; 2. Seal Star nourishing and supporting the Day Master; 3. The Day Master has root/energy and does not follow; 4. The chart momentum is impure with mixed influences.
For example, any Day Master born in the month command where one of the Five Elements is uniquely strong throughout the chart, and the Day Master has no roots or vital energy, forced to follow the dominant trend. People with the Momentum-Following pattern are skilled at assessing the situation, often able to seize the prevailing trend and succeed during times of chaos or transformation.
