The Day Master is the Heavenly Stem of your day pillar — the anchor for Ten Gods and strength readings. Geng (庚) is Yang Metal, classically imaged as ore, weapon, or industrial metal: force that cuts, defines edges, and survives friction. Texts use Geng to discuss decisiveness, boundary-setting, and transformation through pressure — as tendency, not as permission to harm. Within this system, finding your Day Master takes three steps: (1) generate your Four Pillars chart from birth date and time; (2) locate the day pillar — the third column, marked Day; (3) read its Heavenly Stem (top character). That stem is your Day Master. Unlike the year branch (shared by everyone born that year), the day stem is one of the chart's most individual anchors — though month and hour can still coincide with others. The blade image suggests a pattern of clarity and restructuring within this system. Tradition may suggest Geng Day Masters tend to name problems directly, prefer clean rules, and act when others hesitate — metal that must be tempered to be useful. Unsupported charts might read the same stem as harshness, impatience, or isolation rather than courageous reform. Fire in the chart is often discussed as "forging" Yang Metal; without that moderation, the image can skew sharp. The metaphor is a lens, not a personality sentence.

When Yang Metal is balanced, readings may highlight courage, accountability, and ability to protect a group by making hard calls. Friction appears when edge turns careless: words that cut, rigidity about being right, or difficulty softening when relationships need repair. Geng charts sometimes show integrity alongside bluntness — the same decisiveness that rescues a project can wound in private life. Notice the pair against season, strength, and combine partners; neither side is ranked good or bad.

Work patterns may lean toward roles where standards, enforcement, or turning around broken systems matters — environments that reward clear judgment and stamina. Tradition may indicate strain in cultures that require endless diplomacy without authority, or where every decision is delayed for consensus. A Geng Day Master with strong Fire might read as principled leadership; with clashing Wood, the same stem might feel constantly resisted. This section describes contextual fit, not career commands.

Geng traditionally combines with Yi Yin Wood (乙庚合) — blade and vine, often described as decisive structure meeting flexible growth. Explore serious compatibility through relationship chart analysis, not stem labels alone. Compared with Xin Yin Metal (cut gem), Geng may read as more overt and force-forward in relational style. Treat combine language as traditional symbolism, not a verdict on who you should date.

Two Geng Day Masters can present oppositely: one born in autumn with Metal season support may read as commanding and fair; one born in spring with heavy Wood clash may experience the same stem as frustrated, blocked, or over-sharpened.
