Nature

Without Pretense

Judgment

Primordial success, beneficial and correct. If one is not correct, there is calamity; it is not beneficial to go anywhere.

Image

Thunder moves beneath Heaven: all things are without pretense; the former kings thus richly responded to the seasons to nurture the myriad things. — Thunder moves across the world beneath Heaven; all things dare not be pretentious; the former kings therefore strove to respond to the seasons and nurture the myriad things.

Interpretation

The Wu Wang hexagram symbolizes being without pretense and upholding the right way. In career matters, one should be down-to-earth and not harbor lucky thoughts; in relationships, sincerity and honesty without deceit; in decision-making, upholding correctness brings primordial success, but improper conduct will bring calamity.
